Excel Tool bar

When I try using any of the buttons on the excel toolbar I receive an error
and the program closes. For example when I try and change the font I receive
an error and the program closes completley losing any unsaved work. My
operating system is windows 2000 with office 2000 professional installed. I
have downloaded any updates as of 10-13-04 yet the problem still remains. If
you have any suggestions, I would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Evan
Close Excel.
Search for the latest *.XLB file (where * replaces any string) in your excel
program directory.
Rename its extension to .OLD.
Open Excel.
