Excel stop responding when I save

when i open an excel file and i update the data
i try to save and excel stop responding, and when i check
my computer i notice that excel created a lot of files,
small ones and big ones, what is the problem?

Hi Dan!

It could be an overfull Windows\Temp file.

Close down and re-boot to complete any uncompleted instalations. Then
delete all those temp files.

If that doesn't work it may be a bloated Excel.xlb file. Check it out
and see if it's much above 30Kb. If it is, then you look like you'll
have to delete it.

It helps others if you report back solutions with crash, hang up and
slow performance issues.
