Excel should let me change format of the cell when it contains for

When, a cell contains formula, excel dont let us change format of the cell.
For example. I want to use subscripts and superscripts in my formula. Also I
suggest that there should be a text editor except from formating cell option.
 
You are correct - there is no easy way the output of a formula could be rich
text formatted. You already have the formula bar for editing.
