Excel should have row column highlight indicator

Excel should allow you to click and hold on a cell that is referenced (click
and hold within the cell that is active) that would create a highlight (in
gray for instance) up to the column letter and left to the row number, to
allow easy visual sighting of the current row and column position.

I will be happy to provide an print-screen attachement to illustrate this if
interested. Thanks for your consideration.

Hi,
I realise you are making a suggestion to MS, but in the mean time, tr
the below as a workaround...
Unless of course you already have a macro - as is suggested by the fac
that you could provide a screen dump showing this?

John McGimpsey provides a good macro on the below page (includes a lin
to an addin of Chip Pearson's, also below). I think this is better tha
the macro in Macropod's link as it allows for the old formatting to b
renewed once the active cell has moved.
