Excel Shapes

Is there a way to encircle text(numbers and/or letters)that is in a cell? If
there is, how can the exact shape(maybe an oval would be more appropriate
than a circle if there were more than a couple of characters) and
dimensions(radius, height, width)
be set? Is there a way to take the real(not just the number of characters)
overall dimensions of the characters into account in the creation of the
shape?

I don't believe Excel suppots that type of manipulation. However, you can
use the drawing toolbar to do something like that. You might have to work
with it a while to make it pretty, but there is no built in facility to do
what you want.
