Hello,
I am working with Excel 2007, and when I try to select a single row, 4
rows are selected. I have no macros in the system. Can some explain
why this is happening, and how to stop it?

thanks

Can you provide us with further information?
If you merge the cells of 4 rows, you cannot select one single row. ->
Always all 4 rows are selected.
But I don't think that your error is so easy...

Hi Andrew - you may have a cell that is formed by 4 rows being merged. hence
when you select one row within the merged cell, all 4 rows are selected.

Here's a further explanation. If I select R5,C2, Excel highlights R5,
R6, and R7, and C2, C3, and C4. If I select the entire row, Excel
highlights R5, R6, and R7. The cells are not merged.

This sounds like it may be the equivalent of F8 in 2003. Try tapping F8
