excel select color condition

Hi All,

Am using a spreadsheet where the color of the cell determines weather the
value in that cell should be added to a total or not.

ie. if yellow - add
if red - subtract

This seems to be as if it is the opposite to conditional formatting (where
you can color cells depending on the value) - I want to value the items
depending on the color!

Any help would be much appreciated!
