I got the mydoom.f vurus (this is a bad one - all Word and
Excel files were destroyed).

The virus has been removed from the PC. Now, when I open
Excel 2003, it tries to open 3 or 4 files with a zip
extension (one of them is qkde38p.zip). These files do
not exist. It says the files are corrupt. Is they any
way to fix this problem or do I have to un-install and re-
install Excel?

Excel will try to open files that are stored in the XLStart folder.
Check in there to see if the files exist -- you may have to change the
Search settings in Windows Explorer so you can see hidden files.

Thanks, that took care of the problem.
