Excel Power Programming, Bible books

Jeff

I have the 2000 version of the books "Excel 2000 Power Programming with VBA" and "Excel 2000 Bible."
I was going to buy the 2003 version of both books but the reviews at amazon.com say there's no
difference in content, that the author simply slapped a new date on the cover. Anyone know if this
is true? If I already have the 2000 books, would I just be wasting my money buying the 2003 books?

Hi Jeff

It is true that there are no big different between 2000 and 2003.
So most of the content in the book is the same.
Between 2000 and 2002 there are more things changed then between 2002 and 2003.
If you not use things that are add in 2002 and 2003 there is no reason to buy
the 2003 books.

For VBA see
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/vbaxl10/html/xlWhatsNew.asp

For more info search in the MS KB search for "new in Excel 2002"

I think I go for Excel 2003 Power Programming with VBA and this one

Yes, but the reviews point out that the new books do not cover the new features added since 2000.
If that's true, then there's no point in me buying the newer books. If it's not true, then I'll buy
the new books.

Hi Jeff

I only have the 2002 version but John add nice icons into the book with
"new feature" on it when it is new.
Look at the book in your bookstore first before you decide.
