Excel/Percentage

I have recently upgraded excel 97 to 2002 and have noticed
that when i formated cells for percentage it multiplies
what i put in by 100 to create the percentage.
Example:
1=100%
100=10000%

Excel 97 put in the percent that i typed in.
Example:
1=1%
100=100%

Is it possible to change it to be like excel 97?

Hi David:

This will happen if you change a cell with existing numeric data to a
Percentage format. It should not happen with data entered after the format
change.
