Excel password works for others but not me - help

A co-worker sent me an excel spreadsheet that's password protected.
When I try to open it, it says my password is incorrect. When she
opens the same file, the password works for her. We're both stumped.
The only differnce is how we're logged into our PCs, and our
Outlook/Exchange accounts. Where would we found the settings to change
so that I have permission for the password to work?

All I can think of is that one of you is using Upper case and the other Lower
case.

We tested the upper/lowercase thing. It's not that.

One thought that might make the problem a thing of the past.

Could your friend not remove password protection before sending th
file?

This would then ensure you dont have to enter it.

I still admit that unless it is a case sensitive issue you do need t
look into this further, but for now this might help.

Ask her to type the password in a different email, and send it to you.
Copy and paste the password into the password box, and see if the file
opens.
(Press Ctrl+V to paste into the box)

Well, I ended up going to her desk and just had he print it out for
me, but the issue is that she will sending things out like in the
future, and we're both confused as to why it works. I can log onto a
different computer (logging on to a domain) and still it won't work,
so it's some kind of MS domain account issue. I don't know enough
about that to make sense of it. She's familiar with it, but she had no
idea either. We both tried typing it on each others accounts and
either others computers, and it's as if it just doens't let me get it
no matter what just cause I'm me.
