Excel/Outlook Email Notifications

Could you please help me? I have a column in Excel with dates entered as
mm/dd/yyyy. What I need to do is setup something where I receive and email
notification 4 weeks before that date. I would like the email notification
to be sent to my inbox in Outlook 2003. Could you please help me?
