Excel ODBC data connection

I'm losing odbc connection while in excel query. After adding one table to
the query, data is returned from my Oracle database. When I add additional
tables and execute the query, i get the oracle error 03114. I have changed
UPS to alleviate power fluctuations that might cause the disconnect. There is
no problem with the server. I tested the connection with the ODBC driver
configurator - tested successfully.
