Excel objects via IE

Looking for assistance... effective the morning, Excel
objects do not open within IE unless I have Excel open on
my desktop... I stopped and closed all windows and
rebooted... Word, Access, Powerpoint, Project & Visio all
open successfully from within IE, but not Excel... anyone
have any clues to search out?

Just a guess....

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's
factory defaults

If that doesn't work, try one more guess:

Inside excel:
Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)
