excel: monthly download of 1000 members, need to update quickly

excel 2003. we obtain national download monthly for our 1000 member group.
Need a way to cross check and update information quickly. 13 columns per
member to check.
 
National data always has errors. I need to compare last months data to this
months data and see changes so I can make changes and correct errors.
