Excel merge or synchronize

Bob

I have a client with 2 Excel 2007 documents. Let’s name then excel1 and
excel2. Now the client has always worked in excel1. Recently however the
client suffered a system failure and excel1 was lost. Excel2 is a backup copy
of excel1, but it hasn’t been backed up for more than 2 months, thus 2 months
worth of information has to be redone.
Urgent work has to take place and the client starts adding current data to
excel2 from 2day, thus there is a month data gap in the file.
Thru the wonder of hard drive recovery I was able to recover excel1 today.
Is it at all possible to merge or synchronize excel1 and excel2 with each
other so that one of them is completely up-to-date?

There's no automatic way of doing this. You'll need to look at the data
structure and decide which parts from which file you need, then do copy and
paste.

And you can also download a free demo version at http://www.datanumen.com/aer/aer.exe

Hope this will help.
