Excel matrix

I need some help with setting up an excel matrix? my boss needs me to
setup an excel matrix (dont know what that is) based upon software
products that can backup active directory. how so I do this what is a
matrix?
 
I would guess they want a table of Columns being the product providers
row being the features and the intersection beinh marked with a yes o
no depending on whether the feature is in the product.

Why not ask him what he means by a matrix and how he wants it to look?
Better to look dumb for a moment as you ask a question and learn something
than to either give poor excuses or poor results and look dumb forever!

I get it ill ask him anyways!! why dont u just say spreadsheet instea
of matrix, stop tryin to sound technical and JUST DO IT:confused
