Excel Macro & Dialog Sheets

Hi,

When you right click on a sheet name and click insert ,
Excel gives you few options to insert a Macro sheet or
Dialog sheet.

My question is what is the difference between the Macro
sheet and a Normal Sheet except for the default Formula
view with which the new macro sheet is inserted. Is this
Macro sheet really useful in writing macros ?

In same way, Dialog sheet which is an another option, has
2 buttons by default. Can we effectively use this dialog
sheet to simulate a Userform instead.

In both the cases, when you right click on the sheet name
you won't see the "View code option", its disabled. Its
quite confusing!

Any help would be high appreciated.

Both macro sheets and dialog sheets are legacies of old versions of Excel.
MS currently supports them for backward compatibility reasons but will not
do so indefinitely. You should just forget that they exist and use the VBE
and userforms for your app development.
