Excel is changing the comma symbol in formulas to a square box ?

Excel won't accept the comma symbol "," in formulas. when I load
spreadsheets with formulas containing commas, it changes them to small square
boxes, it's like it doesn't recognise the comma anymore !! I am using Excell
2003.

Does anyone know why this is happening?
 
Have a look at Tools>Autocorrect Options and see if the comma is being
replaced because of an entry here.
 
What font are you using in your workbooks? Try changing the font and see if
the commas appear correctly.
