Excel Instructions presentation

A while back, i glimpsed someone creating instructions on using a
complicated Excel spreadsheet. You could see the curser move across
the Excel screen, the menus drop down, etc. Was this donw with
PowerPoint? If so, how?

Most probably a video was recorded, showing the steps on how to perform an
action.
This was recorded in a program like SnagIt, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, and
then inserted in PowerPoint.

Hi Tonso

As Luc & Steve said it sounds like a video. If you can't afford Camtasia you
can use the free Producer add-in as it comes with a screen recorder. I used
to use Producer to record screen videos and then insert them into PowerPoint
(I wouldn't actually use Producer to create the end file if you see what I
mean). I doesn't come with any bells or whistles, but it is a good price :-)
