I have a collection of excel folders with a Master sheet contaning links to
other sub folders and files. I have links in each child file to return to
Master, but the .xls file remains open upon return to Master. Therefore, if
visit a dozen files there is a dozen visited files that remain open/active on
desk top -- how can I tag the "return" button to close the satellite file
once viewed and user selects "return to master" to Master via imbedded
hyberlink each page to return Master

Please help us understand. Why is it necessary to return to the master using
a hyperlink?

Why not just close the satellite file once you are done viewing it?
