One way:

Assume you want to increase by 10%. If you want to do this in another
cell:

B1: =A1 * (1 + 10%)

or, equivalently

B1: =A1 * 1.1

To do it in-place:

Enter 1.1 in a cell. Copy it. Select your cell(s) to be increased.
Choose Edit/Paste Special, selecting the Values and Multiply radio
buttons. Click OK.

I tried several attempts the example in the "to do it in-place" and ha
no results. It may be I incorrectly processed.

I have numbers already in cells and wish to increase the same cell b
15%. Im looking for the formula or simple form. Thanks again

Enter 1.15 in a blank cell. Copy the entire cell (not the value - e.g.,
don't enter edit mode before you copy). Select the cells with numbers
you want to increase. Choose Edit/Paste Special. Click on the Values and
Multiply radio buttons to select them, then click OK.
