I am wondering if anyone knows how to make a horizontal (row of data
into a vertical format (a column of data) so that the informatio
remains in the same order it original was left to right in a row bu
now in a column up and down

Laura, Paste Special will do just what you want:

1-Select the data.
2-Edit > Copy.
3-Select a destination cell.
4-Edit > Paste Special > Transpose > OK.
