Excel formulas don't update until save

Any ideas on this one? We are using Office 2003 -
formulas will not update/calc until a save is done, then
they work at that moment. Is this a setting that can be
changed?

Hi Monica,

It sounds like you have calculation set to manual. Choose
Tools/Options/Calculation from the Excel menu and make sure the option
button labeled "Automatic" is selected in the Calculation section at the top
of the dialog. Then save the workbook.

And if worst hit F9 - it does all outstanding calcs.
