Excel formula not calculating help!

i have enclosed my file.
i wrote the formula's : =sum(c15:e15)

and they are not working unless i double click
and then it works.

shouldn't i be able to type a number in
on c15 and automatically it should calculate
it in the "sum cell" as well?


please help!!

Try:

Tools > Options > Calculate
Select Automatic

F2 then enter would also work.

Try turning on calculation
Tools, Calculation, calculation: automatic

Sometimes people are in formula view instead,
not your problem though.

Might try Ctrl+Alt+F9 to force a complete recalculation,
sometimes Excel gets stuck and this will fix it and you can continue
as if nothing happened. Though you could have long strings of
chains of formulas dependent on others and have to use this method
to get through calculation.

Check [Tools]->[Options]->[Calculation] and switch the radio button "Manual" to "Automatic"
