How create toggle checkmark for Yes or No

Here's one way.

First open the "Forms" toolbar.

Click on the checkmark picture in the toolbar, then on the place in the
spreadsheet where you want it to go. This creates a new checkmark object in
the sheet.

Right-click on the new object and select "Format Control." This brings up a
dialog box to change the appearance of the object. In addition, the
"Control" tab of the dialog box can link the checkmark to a spreadsheet
cell where the state maintained. It's TRUE/FALSE but (if needed) a
reference to it by a formula in another cell can produce Yes/No or other
useful representation.
