Excel error: not enough system resources to display completely

Using excel 2003 and when I type anything in any cell the error message "not
enough system resources to display completely" appears. I just have to click
the OK button and I can type in the box. How can this be corrected?

I have received that same error and don’t know how to get rid of it. if you have solved it please let me know.

I have tried to uninstall office and reinstall along with installing all the updates. No luck. I have also tried to disconnect all mapped drives and still no luck.
