Excel error msg

when I open excel - error msg appears - it can't find analysis32....

Does the error occur before loading any workbook? Does it happen with
just a particular workbook? "Analysis32", I believe, is part of "Goal Seek"
or, most likely, "Solver." In the latter case, the Solver has to be
specifically installed with Excel, it is not part of the normal system. You
might have a workbook that is trying to reference Solver and it isn't tied
into your Excel. Get me more details.

There's an addin that you can have enabled that is called the analysis toolpak.

Start excel
click on tools|addins
uncheck analysis toolpak
(and maybe analysis toolpak - VBA)

Then you'll be prompted to find out if you want it removed from this list. You
can answer yes.

But then close excel, find your original distribution CD and run Setup. Choose
to add the analysis toolpak.

You may need it in the future and you might as well start looking now.

Info only..

The file Excel is looking for is ANALYS32.XLL and should reside in the
Office\Library\Analysis folder along with 3 other files

FUNCRES.XLA
PROCDB.XLA
ATPVBAEN.XLA

If found, move them to Office\Library\Analysis.

If not found, install under Add/Remove>Change
