I have a new IBM thinkpad which has no cd rom. The
version of Excel I loaded on it worked fine on my
previous computer. Now I cannot read my old Excel
files.I would like to purchase a new version of Excel but
could only download it from the internet since I have no
cdrom. Is this possible ? If so where do I go ?

I don't believe Microsoft will sell it's products that way.

This is a new computer without a CD-ROM? I thought they had bee
standard equipment (like the old 3.5 floppy) for at least 5 year
now... If it has a DVD-ROM, most of them can also read CDs. Have yo
tried to read any CDs?

The other option would be to get hold of a USB or Serial CD-RO
somewhere.
