Excel Creating Shortcuts when automated. HELP!!!!!!!

I have automated excel using ASP.Net & C#. The web app creates the an excel file that is saved off in a directory off of the app's directory on the server. I went to do a release today and noticed that for every excel file that the site has created there is a shortcut to those files on the C drive of the server. It also created a shortcut to the directory where the files are being saved. Locally I don't have this issue.

Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
