Excel create title with no vertical grids

I'm using Excel XP 2000. how create a section heading where title is in
middle of page and thre are no vertical gird marks to left or right?

Select the cells that you wish to contain the heading, then, from the Menu
Bar:

<Format> <Cells> <Alignment> tab,

Expand the "Horizontal" box and click on
"Center Across Selection"

Then <OK>.

Now, type heading into the left most cell.
