Excel converting to a Winzip file when emailed

Hi,

I know this may be a email problem but am trying to emliminate al
possibilities.

When emailing various people (internal and external) an Exce
attachment, the message is sent but the attachment won't open and i
not a .xls file but a .zip file that won't open.

Has this happened to anybody, has anyone any ideas on how to resolve?

I've never seen this.

You may want to share the email program that's sending the message and the email
program on the receiving end, too.

(maybe it's not excel--maybe it's the email program--or even the AntiVirus
program????)
