Excel Close button

I am running Office 2000 on Windows XP. The close button
[X]does not work. It is grayed out. I can use the menu
option - File/Close and the program shuts down fine. Any
suggestions or fixes? The [X] button works fine on
worksheets but is just not an option on closing the
program.

Thank You! It did not occur to me that the problem would
be intergration with Groupwise. I had searched the
knowledge database but was came up with nothing - you are
a blessing!
