excel automation

I saw there was an excel automation class written for C++ out there on the
internet.

Would anyone have anything similar for Access?

Specifically I need to read from multiple excel workbooks each with multiple
sheets and varying columns of data.

Just started looking into the best way to approach it.

Thanks for the vbnet.mvps.org link! I ended up convincing the client to
abandon Excel and use Access for everything so I don't think I will need to
go down this route except for one time data transfer of all the excel files
into Access. I can substitute a little manual manipulation to make the
importing into Access a bit easier.

Excel is the premier analysis tool, but it is definitely not a tool for
storing data. I do a lot of reporting and charting via Excel automation
where specific data needs to be in specific places. For financial analysis
and scenario building, you cannot beat Excel.
