Excel asks to save even when no changes made

When closing a spreadsheet, Excel asks if I wold like to save my changes even though I've made no changes and have not even touched the keyboard. Why? How do I stop it from asking?

Hi
you probably have some volatile functions in your spreadsheet (e.g.
INDIRECT). See
http://www.decisionmodels.com/calcsecretsi.htm

The will be re-calculated automatical on opening the file. Therefore
the file HAS changed and Excel asked for saving the file. Nothing you
can do against this.
