Excel add-in MS Query

In Excel 2003 it seems that the location of saved ‘queries’ such as
XLQUERY.XLA has changed, from residing under the C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office10\Library\MSQuery\ folders to a new location in the user
profile folders. THis cause a problem for me because we use a lot of
spreadsheets with macros in which are shared by a number of different people.
THere are also issues with VBA Objects that have changed such as DClick.
Does anyone have a suggestions for solving these issues, or are there any
books available that go into this level of Excel use?

Hi John, did you resolve your DClick issue? I ask because I am getting the
same error when I run an workbook with queries that is loaded to Sharepoint
Team Services. The queries appear to work, but the error message will upset
my users.

Hello Sara, these issues are still not resolved, and continue to cause
problems for us.

John, have you saved your Excel workbook to a different version at all? If
so, that may be your answer. I had my issue posted in the Sharepoint
TS.Admin thread and Roger replied with this post:
"Xlquery.xla was used in earlier versions of Excel for executing queries.
Office XP doesn't have or use xlquery.xla, but if the spreadsheet is saved
in Excel 5.0/95 format, the error may come up when opening it. Microsoft has
a workaround in KB277620 (link below). Basically, make sure you are saving
it in the latest format.

I found that although I was using Excel 2000 to create the query, Excel had
been globally set to save down to Excel 95... once I fixed that and recreated
my Excel file the problem went away. Good luck.
