Excel Ad-in

When trying to update excel to use ad ins (data analysis toolpak), excel will
not load. it keeps saying there is another installation running. I have
tried several different avenues and have failed so far.

Suggestions
 
Hi,

First, have you started more than one copy (instance) of Excel? If so shut
down the other copies. Although having multiple copies of Excel shouldn't
cause a problem, every now and then it does.

If you don't have multiple copies running then it sounds like memory hasn't
been clear properly. I would save all my work and reboot Windows.
 
I somehow fixed my own problem :) I think the issue was with the
compatability paks, which I was finally able to load. Thanks
