Excel 2010 Negative Number in Parentheses

Hello,

Excel 2010 does not have (1,500.00) format available in number format.
It can be added in custom format but it disappears when a new workbook
is opened (even if I added it to the personal.xlsb file). Is there a
Macro to do this that can be added to the personal.xlsb file so this
formatting will be available in every workbook.

Hi

Found the answer -change regional settings from English (Canada) to
English (United States) and parentheses are there!!
Why?
