Excel 2007 Viewer

Cannot yet roll out Office 12 to user base yet but would like to make use of
new features. We planned to develop a graph with active x controls that
would update the graph depending on a drop down selection. The plan was then
to enable users to view this and use the app with Excel Viewer, however the
controls do not work. Is this a security issue or does the functionality
just not exist in the viewer?

I believe the Excel viewer is strictly a viewer.

Can you not save the Excel files in a format that is compatible with
earlier versions so that those who don't have Excel 2007 can open the
files in an earlier version?
