Excel 2007 Reference Style

My columns in excel changed from alpha to numeric. I went in option and
change the reference sytle from R1C1 to A1. Once I leave the application
that numbers reappear. Is there something else I need to do to make the
alpha's permanent?

Make sure that the first workbook you open is always saved in A1 reference
style.

This can be difficult to do -- especially if you're in work environment with
people who like the R1C1 reference style.

I'd just remember how to change it to what you like.
