Excel 2007 number format

Every number I entre in a spread sheet has decimile place even though it is
set to General. e,g I enter 127 I get 1.27. This has only just started
happening and I can't find a soution to this problem. All my saved spread
sheet are in general and are fine but if I add a number to any sheet it comes
up with he decimail point. This is driving me crazy.. Help please.

I have office 2007 on Vista business.

Advanced
Editing Options
DE-select "Automatically insert a decimal point"
