excel 2007 for excel 2003 users

I have excel 2003, I received email with excel 2007 attachments. How do I
save them so that I can work with them?
 
thank you. I had aleady downloaded the compatibility pack previously. After
I posted this question, I tried something else and it worked. When you
download the file, you cannot just say SAVE, you must OPEN the file first,
and then office converts it, and then you can save it.
