excel 2003 wildcards

Q

quynies_mom

I have a worksheet with a column of sortof numbers: 1-25, 76-100,101-150,
901-1000, 1001-1100. I want to separate the number into 3 columns with the
first number, the dash and the last number. I can do it a line at a time but
it would be good to have a formula that would work for all the numbers.

Thanks.

Hi

Select the column>data>Text to Columns>Delimited>Other> enter a hyphen as
the delimiter>Finish
You will have 2 columns of numbers.

Hi,

If you need the = in the cell between the two columns.

Take Roger result and insert a column between the two columns of numbers.
Highlight all the cells in the blank column that have numbers adjacent. Type
but don't press Enter, the = key and then press Ctrl+Enter.
