If I open my Excel 2003 spreadsheet the bottom half of the sheet has all
solid black lines in each row and I can not see the type. I can put the
check marks in boxi, but nothing else. If I print it, it prints with the
black lines. If I send it to another user, they can open it up just fine.

If I use Excel 2007 it shows a Security Warning about active content has
been disable. If I select Options.... To Enable this content. It shows my
text that was blocked out..... But everyone else is on Excel 2003 I need to
fix it there.

Please help!!!

Bob,

Do other workbooks behave that way? What about a new one? If so, suspect that style Normal
has gotten corrupted. Also, try the usual fixes. See "Excel acts generally goofy" at

But if you bottom-post to a reply that's
already top-posted, the thread gets messy.

Earl,

:

Not sure what you mean by style Normal ???

Bob,

Excel uses styles, named things that contain all the formats (bold, border, color, etc) to
be applied to a given cell(s). The style named "Normal" controls a cell that's never had
any formatting changed. You can get to the styles with Format - Styles. But I think I'd
try the usual fixes I mentioned first -- don't know if they'll apply here, but it's what we
always do when Excel gets weird. Also, check the knowledge base at microsoft.com.

Earl,
Tried the excel /regserver as well as uninstalling and re-installing Office
......Same results.....I can send you a copy of the spreadsheet if you'd
like....You would have to enable the marco's to see the check boxes....Bob V

Bob,

Yeah. Send it. I'd like to take a look. My email address is in the Excel Help part of my
web site.
