Hello,

Anyone can help me!!!

I have excel workbook that we used in daily transaction in our company.
There are many times that my colleagues close the file without saving it.
With this, I cannot recover the data that I had encoded.

This is the filename 37week9.xls,
and this is save at this path, T:\daily\work\transaction

Anyone here have macro codes?
1.) I want this file that will automatically save in every 10 minutes without clicking save and also automatically close the excel file.
2.) If the file is closed this will save automatically.

Thank you very much.
Akou.

Youu can configure Excel to Autosave without using MAcros or VB script. And change the default location to your required location.

To change the default auto-save file location:

1. From the Tools menu, select Options, and then select the General tab.
2. In Default file location box, type the desired path and folder, then click OK.

Have a lokk here for autosave features.

But idf you stiil wish to use scripting for this purpose, go and have a look here. Its a pretty easy scriptt to follow that will allow you to both select frequency of save aswell as your disired save path. Hope this is of help to you.

I already try on this, but my excel file doesn't closed automatically after 10 minutes. I think this will need a macro command or script. I used excel 2003.

Please help me.

Thank you,

No need to double post, it will only confuse people...

Use the auto save feature that is bui;lt into Office Excel 2003...It can't be any more simple than that. I have shown you how to change the save path and one of the links is showing you how to set auto save....Try it.MAcros and scripts just complicate what is a very simple thing to set up...
