Excel 2003 hangs

Since security update of Aug 15, Excel 2003 hangs on the following macro
instruction:

Range("Y5:AC65000").Select
Selection.ClearContents

Did anybody else experienced it?

Will remove the security update
 
I've just started seeing this too - clearcontents hangs Excel, but only with large ranges. Did removing the security update work? Restoring the system to a previous date did nothing.

Restoring the system did not work, but cleaning the registory did work. This
was not a memory problem since I work with 4GB.
