Excel 2002: Formulas stop calculate correctly after 13.4MB

Mr. Low

Hi,

I was working on a formula intensive file of 13.4MB with many link pages.

I noticed that up to a certain limit, the formulas stop to calculate
correctly.

May I know under Excel 2002, if there is a limit for the formulas to wrrk
correctly ?

What about Excel 2007, does it has a higher limit for this ?

Thanks

Low

What does "stop to calculate correctly" mean exactly? What formulas?

Mr. Low

Hello Niek,

What I mean is the formulas give the incorrect answer.

Eg. B1 = 58,000.00
B2 = 58,000.00
B3 = B2-B1=5200

By right at B3 the answer should be 0.00.

My speadsheets have a lot of SUMIF( ) formulas that search for answers in
other pages. The results are then link to many pages. I find that the
recaulcution speed is very slow when I save the file.

Thanks

Low

Try rebuilding the dependency tree.
Two methods:
- CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+F9, I don't know in which version this was introduced, maybe after 2002.
- Find and replace (CHTL+H) all equal signs with equal signs. Has to be done per sheet, but maybe only necessary for the sheet
with the formulas.

Save your work first before trying!
