Hi,

I've just upgraded to Excel 2002 running on Win2000. I have encountered
a strange formatting problem. When I enter into a new worksheet
"A2-3648" it converts the entered data into "3648" followed by what
looks like Arabic!!
When this is then viewed in the formula bar it gives a date format in
English.

Has anyone else encountered this or better still know of a solution?

Thanks

Thanks Ken. I had hoped it wouldn't come to that. Going to have to
re-format a lot of spreadsheets to stop this error occurring. Think
i'll go back to my nice safe Excel 97:-)

Many thanks

I'm a convert I'm afraid - wouldn't go back if you paid me - Just love my
coloured tabs :-)
