Excel 2002 auto deleting

In Excel 2002, Anything I high light with the mouse or LEFT click the mouse,
it delete the info. I tried to us the undo it shows "undo clear" no matter
how many times I hit it nothing happens.. I have tried re-booting and other
spreadsheets, it still happens.
PLEASE HELP

If it happened to me, I'd start excel in Safe mode

close excel
windows start button|Run
excel /safe

File|open a few workbooks to test it out.

If everything worked ok, I'd start looking for "helpful" addins that get loaded
when excel starts normally.
