Excel 2000 running extremly slow word is fine reinstall 2003 still

I am running Excel 2000 and it is a basic spreadsheet and it runs very slow
in every instance even entering data in cells and print preview.Word in the
Suite works fine, Reinstalled Office 2003 still same problem only excel in
suite slow.running Xp home on a network.
